# Manually trigger a recrawl or reindex

You can manually [recrawl](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/index-items/keep-indexes-up-to-date.html "Keep indexes up to date") a Sitecore Search source when you want Search to connect to your original content, pull the latest information, and then recreate indexes. You can also recreate indexes to reflect the latest domain configuration settings.

The following are some common use cases to manually trigger a recrawl or reindex:

- If your original content has important updates and you don't want to wait for the next [scheduled crawl](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/index-items/keep-indexes-up-to-date/configure-a-crawler-schedule.html "Configure a crawler schedule"), you can manually trigger a recrawl.
- If you add a new [suggestion](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/ai-driven-experiences/understand-suggestions-blocks.html "Understand suggestions blocks") block, you can manually trigger a reindex for the change to take effect.

All sources are now queued for recrawling.
