# Preconfigured settings

The sections in this topic describe how filters, facets, and sorting options are preconfigured in Sitecore Search.

## Filters

The following table lists the attributes that have been preconfigured to be [available as filters](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/refine-search-results/use-an-attribute-as-a-filter.html "Use an attribute as a filter") in an implementation. Unless you want to edit any of these settings, you can use them as-is.

## Facets

The following table lists the attributes that have been preconfigured to be [available as facets](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/refine-search-results/use-an-attribute-as-a-facet.html "Use an attribute as a facet") in an implementation. Unless you want to edit any of these settings, you can use them as-is.

## Sorting

Sitecore Search is preconfigured with the alphabetic sorting options for shown in the following table. Unless you want [to edit them](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/users/search-user-guide/refine-search-results/configure-a-sorting-option.html "Configure a sorting option") you can use them as they are in your implementation.
