Stop a recrawl or reindex
You can stop an in-progress recrawl or reindex of a source. For example, if you start a manual recrawl of all sources and you realize that you only need to recrawl two sources, you can stop the recrawl of the other sources to save resources.
Search provides a quick way to stop the recrawl or reindex of all sources or of any one source.
Stop the recrawl of or reindex all sources
If you want to stop the recrawl or reindex of all sources in the Queued or In progress run states, you can stop them at the same time.
To stop the recrawl of or reindex all sources:

In the top-right corner of the Sources page, click Cancel

If you want to stop the recrawl or reindex of one source in the Queued or In progress run states, you can stop an individual source.
To stop the recrawl of or reindex one source:

Click the source whose recrawl or reindex you want to stop.
