# Add a background image

You can add a background image to your newsletter, to make it more attractive.

> Some email providers are not able to show background images. For example, the Microsoft Outlook desktop app does not support background color or images.

To add a background image:

1. In the left pane of the editor, click the **Settings** tab and click **Add Background Image**.
2. Use the [image picker](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/campaigns/designing-campaigns/use-the-image-picker.html "Use the image picker") to add an image.
