# Email lists

An email list is a list of recipients that have subscribed to your email marketing campaigns. You can [create an email list](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/create-an-email-list.html "Create an email list") or have as many email lists as you like, [import recipients](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/import-recipients.html "Import recipients"), and then use [segmentation](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/use-segments-to-create-targeted-campaigns.html "Use segments to create targeted campaigns") on each list to send even more targeted campaigns.

You can [work with custom fields](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/work-with-email-lists/work-with-custom-fields.html "Work with custom fields") or [use tags](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/using-tags-in-email-lists.html "Using tags in email lists") in your email lists. You have the option to [unsubscribe](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/unsubscribe-recipients.html "Unsubscribe recipients"), [archive, or delete](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/email-lists/archiving-or-deleting-recipients.html "Archiving or deleting recipients") your recipients as needed.
