# Create a custom report

Sitecore Send lets you create custom reports by using a collection of widgets that display relevant data using charts and lists. You can either create a custom report from scratch or create it from a saved template.

## Create a custom report from scratch

You can create a custom report by adding your preferred widgets to a blank template.

To create a custom report from scratch:

1. On the menu bar, click **Reports** > **Custom Reports**.
2. Click **New custom report**.
3. Enter the name of your custom report and click **Save**.
4. Click **Add widgets**.
5. Use the left panel categories to navigate to the specific [type of widget](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/reports-and-dashboards/custom-reports/types-of-custom-report-widgets.html "Types of custom report widgets") that you want to add and click **Add**.
6. Click **Save**. Your custom report is now ready for use.

## Create a custom report using a saved template

You can create a custom report using a [template that you have previously saved](https://doc.sitecore.com/send/en/users/sitecore-send/reports-and-dashboards/custom-reports/work-with-custom-reports.html "Work with custom reports").

To create a custom report using a saved template:

1. On the menu bar, click **Reports** > **Custom Reports**.
2. Click **New custom report**.
3. Enter the name of your custom report and click **Save**.
4. Under **Your custom templates**, find the saved template and click ![arrow.jpg](https://doc.sitecore.com/api/markdown-image/send/en/users/sitecore-send/images/arrow.jpg) to select the template. Your custom report is now ready for use.
