# Add a GDPR check box to a subscription form

Using the editor, you can add a GDPR check box and a legal text to a form item in a landing page or a subscription form. The legal text can be a longer text, which is displayed above the GDPR check box.

To add a GDPR check box:

1. In the editing area, click the form item to display the **Form** settings in the right pane.
2. Scroll down and click the **GDPR Checkbox** drop-down menu.
3. Select the **Add a checkbox for GDPR** check box to display the settings.
4. (Optional) In the **Label** field, edit the default message. You can use the text toolbar to customize your text or change the link.
5. In the **Legal text** field, add a legal text.

    > The legal text usually states what data processing activities you plan to carry out so that your recipients know what exactly they are giving consent to.
