Create a page in the Experience Editor

You can create new pages for your website directly from the Experience Editor.

To add a new page to your website:

  1. In the Experience Editor, on the Home tab, in the Edit group, click Insert page.

  2. In the Insert Item dialog box, navigate to the item that you want to add the page under and click the type of page you want to add, for example, the Sample Item. The type of page that you can create varies depending on where you want to add it.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the item and click OK. The new page appears on the website and you can now edit the item by adding text, images, sidebar text, and so on.

    Note

    When you create a new page, it is automatically locked to prevent other users from editing it.

  4. When you have finished editing the new page, click Save and then click Unlock to make the item available to other content authors.
