Divide your page content into columns

In the page builder, you can use the Column Splitter component to divide your page content into columns. When you place the component in a placeholder, two columns are added, but you can add up to eight columns within the same component.

When the columns are in place, you can style, reorder, resize, or remove them. Finally, you can add other components to the individual columns, for example Rich Text.

To add columns to your page:

  1. Open the page.

  2. On the left-hand side, click Components, and then click the Components tab.

  3. From the Page Structure section, drag the Column Splitter component to a placeholder. Two equally sized columns appear next to each other within the component.

  4. For each additional column you want to add, on the right-hand side, expand Manage columns, and click Add new. The column is added on a new row.

  5. Now you can do one or more of the following:

    • Apply styling to the entire component. This will affect all columns within the component, for example center-aligning the columns. To do this, select the component and, in the Styling section on the right-hand side, click the center alignment icon.

    • Apply styling to individual columns. To do this, select the column component and, on the right-hand side, make the changes you want.

    • Resize the columns. For information about how size is assigned to columns, see Resizing columns.

    • Reorder the columns within the component. To do this, select the Column Splitter component and, in the Manage columns section, drag and drop the columns until you have the order you want.

    • Remove columns.
