The Analytics.CookieLifetime setting determines the lifetime of the tracking cookie (SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE) in hours.

You may need to change the analytics cookie lifetime if privacy law in your region dictates a maximum cookie lifetime that differs from the default.
