Manually enable the Reference Data service

You can manually enable the Reference Data service on any other XP service application role to create a combined role. For example, to combine the Reference Data service with the Marketing Automation Operations service:

  1. Install the Marketing Automation Operations service using a WDP from the XP Scaled packages.

  2. Manually enable the following configuration files by removing the .disabled suffix:

    File

    Path

    sc.xConnect.ReferenceData.Initialize.xml

    App_Data\Config\Sitecore\ReferenceData\

  3. Add any additional connection strings required by the Reference Data service.
