Select and map custom facets to be migrated with your contacts

Contacts that you transfer from xConnect to CDP have multiple default facets. If you have custom facets, you need to select them manually and map the facet properties to the CDP guest extension data.

Important

Select and map the custom facets before configuring or running any of the recipes.

To select and map custom facets:

  1. Click the Gets contacts from xConnect by their ID step.

  2. In the Expand with Facets section, for each custom facet you want, select the corresponding check box and click OK.

    Note

    Emails, Personal, Addresses, PhoneNumbers and ListSubscriptions are mandatory and not shown in the list.

  3. Click the step where you do the mapping, as shown here:

  4. In the Input fields section, click Edit schema.

  5. Add the facets as variables into extensions and click Update. The example shows the custom facets CinemaVisitorBonus and CinemaVisitorInfo.

  6. In the Extensions section, one by one, click the newly added fields and map them to the required fields in CDP, as shown here:
