Upgrade a content management or standalone server

This section describes how to upgrade a content management or standalone server from Sitecore Connect for Salesforce CRM (SFCRM) 7.0 to 8.0.

Note

Before upgrading, make sure your system fulfills the prerequisites for the upgrade, and that you have cleaned the databases according to the instructions in Prepare for upgrading SFCRM.

To upgrade SFCRM:

  1. Download the Salesforce CRM Connect Upgrade resources package from the Sitecore download page. Use the Sitecore Installation Wizard to install it.

  2. Deploy the xConnect collection model.

  3. Add the connection string to Sitecore.

Note

If you have created tenants in previous versions of the connector, the tenants work as usual after the upgrade. You do not have to upgrade them.
