# Monitor the status of a recipe

After starting a recipe in Sitecore Connect, Workato starts running the recipe. You can monitor its progress in real-time on the **Jobs** tab. Workato provides information about the status of each step indicating whether it succeeded, failed, or encountered warnings.

To monitor the status of a recipe:

1. In Sitecore Connect, open the recipe that you've started.
2. Click the **Jobs** tab. You'll see a newly created job for the recipe that you've started.

3. Click the job to view the steps that have been run in the recipe editor.

4. To inspect the input provided to a step, click a step, and then click the **Input** tab.

    This example shows the input provided to the `Upload a Guest or Order file to Sitecore CDP` step.

5. To inspect the output data generated as a result of the step being run, click the **Output** tab.

    This example shows the CDP answer, including the reference ID, the status of the batch upload, and the checksum.

6. To view the time it took to run the step, click **Debug** tab.

## Debugging and troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues or unexpected behavior while executing a recipe, Workato provides debugging tools to help you troubleshoot the problem.

You can review recipe logs, error messages and warnings to identify the root cause of the issue. Workato also offers built-in error handling features to help you handle errors gracefully and recover from failures.
