# Catalog search field handlers

The Catalog plugin defines index field handlers that are used for indexing catalogs, categories and sellable items. The Commerce Engine indexes Catalog entities for the sitecore_master_index and the sitecore_web_index.

| `ChildrenCategoryListHandler` | Defines the children category list field handler. |
| `ComposerFieldHandler` | Defines a field handler for indexing custom properties added using Composer. |
| `CreatedDateFieldHandler` | Defines the created date field handler |
| `ExcludeFromSearchResultsFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the exclude from search results field. |
| `FullPathFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the full path field. |
| `HasChildrenFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the has children field. |
| `ItemIdFieldHandler` | Defines the item id field handler. |
| `ParentCatalogListFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the parent catalog list name field. |
| `ParentFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the parent field. |
| `PathFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the path field. |
| `SearchableFieldHandler` | Defines the handler for the searchable field. |
