# Category commands and pipelines

The following table describes the category commands and pipelines:

| `DeleteCategoryCommand`<br><br>`DeleteCategoryPipeline` | Deletes an existing category from the specified catalog.<br><br>Parameters:<br><br><ul><li>`catalogFriendlyId`: identifier for the catalog from which the category is being removed</li><li>`categoryId`: identifier for the category</li></ul> |
