# Retry Strategy

The storage providers must be resilient to transient errors and must use a retry strategy to handle transient exceptions during the file export process. Otherwise, the distributed processing worker might fail with no ability to resume the export process from the failed batch.

By default, Network Folder Provider is configured to use pre-defined `XConnect.DataTools.StorageProvider.Retryer` retryer. You can substitute it with a [custom retryer](https://doc.sitecore.com/xp/en/developers/exm/103/email-experience-manager/configure-the-exm-retryers.html). You can change the retry configuration of the provider in the `App_Data/Config/Sitecore/Processing/sc.XConnect.DataTools.Workers.xml` configuration file, in the `<RetryerName>` node for the provider.
