# Run SQL Database Cleanup before migration

Two [considerations for using Azure Blob Storage](https://doc.sitecore.com/xp/en/developers/105/sitecore-experience-manager/considerations-for-using-the-azure-blob-storage-module.html "Considerations for using the Azure Blob Storage module") are: to avoid accruing unnecessary costs and to preclude migrating orphan blobs to Azure Blob Storage. To achieve this, you must run SQL Database Cleanup before beginning migration.

To run SQL Database Cleanup:

1. Log in to Sitecore as an *Admin*.
2. On the [Sitecore Launchpad](https://doc.sitecore.com/xp/en/users/104/sitecore-experience-platform/overview-of-the-sitecore-launchpad.html), click **Control Panel**.
3. In the **Control Panel**, open the **Administration** tab, and click **Administration Tools**.
4. On the **Database and Operations** tab, click **Database Cleanup**.
5. In the **Tasks** section, select the **Cleanup blobs** check box.
6. Click **Execute Cleanup**.
