# Configure the analytics cookie lifetime

| Applies to | Content Delivery |
| --- | --- |
| Configuration file | `\App_Config\Sitecore\Marketing.Tracking\Sitecore.Analytics.Tracking.config` |

The `Analytics.CookieLifetime` setting determines the lifetime of the tracking cookie (`SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE`) in hours.

```text
<setting name="Analytics.CookieLifetime" value="87600" />
```

You may need to change the analytics cookie lifetime if privacy law in your region dictates a maximum cookie lifetime that differs from the default.
