# Update XP service role license files

To update the license file used by an XP service role, place a valid copy of the `license.xml` in the `App_data` folder. In addition, you must update the following worker role license files:

- `App_Data\jobs\continuous\ProcessingEngine\App_Data` for the Processing Engine, which is bundled with the Processing Table and Blob Storage service by default.
- `App_data\jobs\continuous\IndexWorker\App_data` for the xConnect Search Indexer, which is bundled with the xConnect Collection Search service by default.
- `App_Data\jobs\continuous\AutomationEngine\App_Data` for the Marketing Automation Engine, which is bundled with the Marketing Automation Operations service by default.
