# Install Data Exchange Framework in Docker

When you have prepared the installation files and built the images as described in [Walkthrough: Preparing to install Data Exchange Framework in a container environment](https://doc.sitecore.com/xp/en/developers/def/90/data-exchange-framework/walkthrough--preparing-to-install-data-exchange-framework-in-a-container-environment.html "Walkthrough: Preparing to install Data Exchange Framework in a container environment"), you can deploy Data Exchange Framework to Docker.

To add Data Exchange Framework (DEF) in Docker:

1. When the image build completes, run the following command:

    ```text
    docker-compose up -d
    ```

2. When the Docker compose command has finished, [rebuild your search indexes](https://doc.sitecore.com/xp/en/developers/def/90/data-exchange-framework/rebuild-the-search-indexes.html "Rebuild the search indexes").
