Determine the data for the contact identifier

Version: 5.0

Before you can start to map your custom contact identifier data, you must determine some basic settings for the identifier.

Every contact identifier has the following values:

Source

This value describes the system that the identifier comes from. In this example, the source will be Loyalty.Program.

Identifier

This is the actual identifier from the external system. In this example, you will use the same value used for the membership id on the contact facet.

Identifier type

Since you are using the membership id for the contact identifier value, and the membership id is associated with a known contact, this value will be ContactIdentifierType.Known.
