# Dictionary Service

Sitecore Headless Services provides an API endpoint for retrieving application-specific Dictionary data.

## Dictionary Service endpoint

The format for the Dictionary API endpoint is:

```text
/sitecore/api/jss/dictionary/<app>/<language>/

```

The endpoint requires the following parameters:

| Name | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `app` | The name of the application to retrieve the Dictionary for. |
| `language` | The language to retrieve the Dictionary for. |

## Example

A request to `http://mysitecoreinstance.dev/sitecore/api/jss/dictionary/JssReactWeb/es-MX/` returns:

    "lang": "es-MX",
    "app": "MyRenderingApp",
    "phrases": {
        "Copyright": "{{year}} Inicio Bootstrap",
