Configure Access Rights in Data Templates

Custom configure access rights in data templates. Instead of editing rights case-by case, using the data template access rights allows you to systemically produce content items that have the access rights configured.

At the Sitecore Security Editor:

  1. Navigate to sitecore/Templates/<your category template>/__Standard Values in the content tree.

    Note

    You may have to create this node for the content item.

  2. Assign the following access rights to the category content item standard values for each respective role. Any content item created from this template will have identical access rights:

  3. Optional: Enable the inheritance of access rights to the product content items for the category:
