Category to push in
The connector automatically creates a root category in Salesforce where it pushes all observed media items. The Sfmc.DefaultRootCategoryName setting specifies the name of the root category in Salesforce. The default name is Sitecore. If this name is already in use in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the first unique name with the following format is used: Sitecore (n), where n is a number.
The media item structure is preserved and mapped to the appropriate categories and assets. The media root item that is set in the SFMC Configuration item is reflected into a category under the root category.
Only media root items that are either media items or media folders have a corresponding category under the root category. If you select another template to be a Media Root, for example, a Media Library item or a regular item folder, such a Media Root will not have a dedicated category under the root category. Instead, the subtree of the Media Root is pushed directly to the root category.
