Email Studio

Sitecore’s Experience Database collects a large amount of behavioral data relating to how your users interact with your websites and other channels. Once it's been collected, that data can be leveraged to influence future interactions with those users. Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s Email Studio allows marketers to send out personalized email communications to your users. When the two are combined this allows a marketer to leverage the marketer to target specific contacts as well as engage in one-to-one communications with a specific user via personalization.

The integration between Sitecore and Email Studio is based on making lists and segments that have been created in Sitecore available in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as data extensions.

Once the data is available in Marketing Cloud you can use it to:

  • Define recipient lists.

  • Define suppression lists.

  • Drive token personalization within an email.
