SearchPanel

Version: 9.0

A SearchPanel control provides three placeholders:

  • Filters

If you have a ToggleButton control that users click to show and hide the content of a FilterControl control, place it in this placeholder.

  • Searches

Place the text box for user input and the IconButton control for starting a search in a search page in this placeholder.

  • Details

You use this placeholder for the component that displays the search results. If you use a FilterControl control it also has to be in this placeholder.

You use the SearchPanel control and the placeholders when you design a SPEAK dialog that enables users to search for items. When you use the SearchPanel control placeholders for the different elements of a search page, the SearchPanel control aligns and positions these elements correctly.

Configuration

You can create a configuration item for a SearchPanel control by creating an item based on the SearchPanel Parameters template.

The configuration item inherits these fields:

  • IsVisible

  • AccessKey

  • Tooltip

  • Behaviors

  • Id
