# Configure sites to use Tailwind

When you create a site, by default, it uses the Bootstrap 5 grid system. To use the Tailwind grid system, in the **Create a new SXA site** dialog box, select *Tailwind*.

Alternatively, after creating the site, go to the site *Settings* item and, in the **Grid mapping** field, select *Tailwind*.
