# Keyboard shortcuts in the rich text editor

You can use keyboard shortcuts to apply formatting to text in the rich text editor.

<summary><h2>Editing</h2></summary>

Use the following shortcuts to edit text:

| Result | PC Shortcut |
| --- | --- |
| Copy selected text | `CTRL+C` |
| Paste | `CTRL+V` |
| Cut selected text | `CTRL+X` |
| Undo last action | `CTRL+Z` |
| Redo action (after undo) | `CTRL+Y` |
| Select all | `CTRL+A` |
| Save and close dialog | `CTRL+ENTER` |
| Line break (<br> tag) | `SHIFT + ENTER` |

Use the following shortcuts to apply formatting to selected text:

| Underline | `CTRL+U` |
| Italic | `CTRL+I` |

To format a paragraph as a list item, enter the relevant shortcut at the beginning of the paragraph followed by a space:

To remove the bullet or number, place the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph and press backspace.
