Filtering search results

Use content item properties to filter out search results. Complete the following prerequisite:

  • Work through Performing a quick searchPerforming a quick search

In the Search results content area:

  1. Select the tab for the content type you want.

  2. Open the filter.

     On the toolbar, click the filter button.

    Note

    You can also pin the filter open by clicking the pin icon.

    The system opens the content item filter.

  3. Select the properties of content items you want to include in the search results.

    As you make selections, the system updates the list items in the content area. You can toggle selections with the X control on each selected facet and change the content items listed in the content area.

  4. Close the filter when you have completed your property selections.

    Click the X button. You can select an item in the content area at any time; the filter pane does not have to be closed to make selections.
