Edit a link field in Content
Insert a link to Sitecore content or an external URL.
In a general link field in Content, you can insert one of the following types of links:
An internal link - to a page in your Sitecore instance
When you create an internal link, Sitecore uses the item ID to identify the item. This means that the link does not break if you rename the item or restructure your site.
An external link - to a URL outside your site.
A media link - to a media file.
To insert a link:
In the link field, select the type of link:
Internal - to link to a page on your site.
External - to link to a URL outside your site.
Media - to link to a media file in your media library or digital asset manager.
