The xConnect Search Indexer role updates the xDB index.

Privacy and security

The xConnect Search Indexer role handles personal data in the following ways:

Able to read contact and interaction data from the xDB Collection database during indexing, even if the indexing of personal data is disabled.
Stores personal data in the xDB index if you have enabled the indexing of personal data.

Note

Any client application with access to xConnect has access to personal data, even if the application does not access or use personal data.
