Download files and the tools

You must download the following files and tools:

• Sitecore 10.X.X rev. 00XXXX (upgrade files).zip.

  On the downloads page, in the Upgrade options section, this file is called Configuration files for upgrade.

  Unpack the Sitecore 10.X.0 rev. 00XXXX (upgrade files).zip file and then unpack:

  • Database Upgrade Script.zip - contains the SQL scripts that upgrade the database schemas and data.
  • MarketingDefinitionsUpgrade.zip – contains the .aspx pages that help you prepare your marketing definitions for the upgrade from Sitecore XP 8.x.

• Sitecore.UpdateApp 1.X.X for Sitecore X.X.X rev XXXXXX.zip

  • If you are upgrading from Sitecore XP 10.1.X and your solution does not contain any modules or connectors, you do not need this tool.
  • If you are upgrading from Sitecore XP 10.1.x and your solution contains any modules or connectors, you need this tool for both the modules and the connectors.
  • If you are upgrading from Sitecore XP 10.0.x and earlier, you need this tool for the Platform. If your solution contains any modules or connectors, you also need this tool for the modules and the connectors.

  You must download the package for the version of Sitecore XP that you are upgrading from. This file contains the clean-up tool.

• You must upgrade to or install the latest .NET Core 6.0 Windows Hosting Bundle.
