Building a single server SCpbCS deployment

Version:

A single server deployment contains all Sitecore roles, a full Commerce Server installation, and all packages. This setup is best for development or QA. It is not recommended for a production scenario.

The steps for setting up a single server are:

  1. Create accounts to be used as app pools. For more information, go to Creating accounts and groups

  2. Install SQL Server

  3. Install MongoDB

  4. Set up a Sitecore site. For more information, go to Sitecore installation.

  5. Secure Sitecore databases. For more information, go to Database permissions

  6. Install Commerce Server. For more information, go to Commerce Server Installation.

  7. Configure Commerce Server. For more information, go to Commerce Server configuration.

  8. Adjust Commerce Server schemas

    • If your pup package does not set up your profile or order database schemas fully, do so now.

  9. Import Commerce Server data

    • Import any catalog, inventory, profiles, orders, or marketing data.

  10. Secure Commerce Server databases. For more information, go to Authentication and secure access requirements.

  11. Configure Profile System Encryption. For more information, go to How to configure encryption keys for Profiles System data

  12. Install Commerce Connect

    1. From the Sitecore Launchpad, click on Desktop -> Start -> Development Tools -> Installation wizard

    2. Upload the Sitecore Commerce Connect package and follow the wizard steps.

  13. Install Commerce Server Connect

    1. Navigate to http://<your site>/sitecore/admin/UpdateInstallationWizard.aspx, and follow the steps in the wizard.

    2. Upload the Sitecore Sitecore Commerce Server Connect update file.

  14. Copy the contents of \Website\MergeFiles\Merge.CommerceServer.config into the web.config

    • Update the Commerce Server siteName on the CommerceServer node in the web.config

  15. Install Merchandising Manager.

    1. Navigate to http://<your site>/sitecore/admin/UpdateInstallationWizard.aspx, and follow the steps in the wizard.

    2. Upload the Sitecore Merchandising Manager update file.

  16. If you are using Solr, set it up now.

    1. Set up Solr. For more information, go to Setting up Solr.

    2. Configure Solr. For more information, go to Configure SCpbCS to work with Solr.

  17. Publish all content to Web.

  18. Index all content.
