Upgrade Data Exchange Framework from 7.0/8.0 to 9.0

This topic explains how you can upgrade Data Exchange Framework 7.0 or 8.0. to version 9.0.

To upgrade Data Exchange Framework from version 7.0 or 8.0 to version 9.0:

1. Back up your existing Sitecore instance, including any custom Data Exchange Framework configuration files and assemblies.
2. Download the Data Exchange Framework 9.0 installation package from the Data Exchange Framework 9.0 download page.
3. Install the Data Exchange Framework 9.0 installation package on the existing Sitecore instance. You must use the regular Data Exchange Framework 9.0 installation package. Do not use Sitecore.UpdateApp for this upgrade.
