Managing items

In XM Cloud, items are the building blocks of your digital experience.

In both XM Cloud Explorer and the Content Editor, you can manage items, and use workflows to manage approval and publishing processes.

However, some features, such as working with clones and buckets, are only available in the Content Editor. The Content Editor also lets you set tags to categorize items, and archive - and restore - items. These features are particularly useful when you are managing a large amount of items. 

To ensure the quality of the content published to your live digital properties, you can also create and configure approval workflows in the Content Editor, and move items through these workflows in the Content Editor and its associated app, the Workbox.
