Add a column to the Contacts list

To display a custom facet in contact lists in List Manager, you must add a column to the Contacts list.

To add a column to the Contacts list:

  1. On the Sitecore Launchpad, in the Control Panel section, click Desktop.

  2. In the bottom-right corner, change the database to Core.

  3. Click the Sitecore icon and then click Content Editor.

  4. In the tree view, go to /sitecore/Client/Applications/List Manager/Lists/Contact list.

  5. To add a custom field, right-click Contact list and select Insert, ColumnField.

  6. In the Message dialog box, type a name for the new field (for example, PhoneNumber), and click OK.

  7. On the Content tab, in the Data section, in the HeaderText field, enter the header text (for example, Phone Number).

  8. In the DataField field, enter the data value (for example, PhoneNumber).

  9. Click Save to save your changes.

  10. In the bottom-right corner, change the database to master.

  11. In the upper-left corner of the application window, click the Sitecore Launchpad icon and, on the launchpad, in the Marketing Applications section, click List Manager.

  12. Select a contact list to see the custom field (for example, PhoneNumber).
