Batch API

The Batch API lets you efficiently upload large amounts of data to Sitecore CDP.

Overview

You can use the Batch API to upload guests and orders, which organizations can source in bulk from their internal systems before sending to Sitecore CDP for processing.

Data capturing.

Using the Batch API involves uploading one batch file at a time into Sitecore CDP. Before you upload a batch file, you must ensure that the file meets formatting requirements.

To check the status of the batch file that is being processed, you can interrogate the Batch API or go to the Batch uploads page in CDP. You can view any success or failure messages which might be logged after the processed batch is complete. It's useful to verify that the status of the batch file is successful, before uploading the next batch file.

When to use the Batch API

Integration Engineers can use the Batch API to import large amounts of offline data in order to support:

  • Greater flexibility in guest segmentation.

  • A more comprehensive single customer view.

  • Higher sophistication of decision logic.
