Before you start sending data

Before you start sending data to Sitecore CDP, you must identify the type of API you want to use and ensure you model the data correctly for the API and data model version of your organization's tenant, 2.1 data model or 2.0 data model.

Sitecore APIs are flexible by design. To ensure that the data is viewable in the guest profile and can be used in batch segmentation, you must follow the data model schema for the specific API.
