Integrating using Search JS SDK for React

Integrating your application with Sitecore Search using Search JS SDK for React applications is rapid. Developers can install the SDK package into their IDE and hook UI components. At compile time, the JS SDK is integrated into your React browser application and manages all the communication between your application and Search.

Note

Prior knowledge of data model is not required when you use the SDK.

The SDK orchestrates authentication, data requests and results, page and widget display, and event tracking. Search also provides a UI Components package and a Components CLI. Using them with the SDK greatly reduces development effort.

The Search JS SDK for React guide includes walkthroughs and procedures covering most use cases. Using the accompanying reference documentation, developers have multiple ways to hook components to the SDK.

Important

The JS SDK sets a cookie and includes the UUID when tracking events. Visitor information, UUID, is required to personalize search results.
