What's new in Sitecore Experience Commerce 10.2

Provides a list of new and enhanced features in Sitecore XC 10.2.

The following table lists new features and improvements made in Sitecore Experience Commerce (SXC) 10.2.

Deployment	Improvement	To align with the corresponding items as resource feature added in Sitecore XP 10.1, Sitecore XC 10.2 delivers default commerce items as resources files. Items as resources improve the upgrade experience by storing default content items outside of the database. Deployment	Improvement	This release includes multiple container deployment improvements: Restructured XC container images to facilitate the deployment and configuration of commerce assets on a XP deployment. Commerce module asset images are now separated from runnable images. With this change, you no longer need to create XC images that are supersets of XP, SXA and XC assets. Instead you now layer commerce asset images on top of XP images. A new initialize startup script in Docker-compose, called ComposeInit.ps1, automates steps that used to be performed manually. Composer templates	Improvement	When they create a new custom property, Business Tools users now have the option to choose rich text as the field type. Link to documentation: Work with custom child viewsl
Merchandising	Improvement	Merchandisers can use the Business Tools interface to change the order in which to display product images, and have those changes reflected in the Storefront. Link to documentation: Work with a sellable item
