A catalog is a connection between Dynamics AX and Sitecore Commerce Server.
Catalogs are used to manage the visibility of products in browse and search experiences. When a catalog is published in Dynamics AX and assigned to a synchronized online storefront, the catalog data will synchronize with the edge catalog and become available.
