Geolocation data

The Engage SDK automatically collects geolocation data about the users of your app. The geolocation data includes city, country, region, and continent information based on the user's IP address.

The geolocation data is collected once per active session as the user interacts with your app: it is collected from the first event in that session and is not updated again within the same session.

After you send the first event to Sitecore CDP, the geolocation data becomes available in the guest profile. You can then act on the data in, for example, segmentation and audience export.
