Before you start sending data to Sitecore Personalize, you must identify the type of API you want to use and ensure you model the data correctly for the API and data model version of your organization's tenant, 2.1 data model or 2.0 data model.

Sitecore APIs are flexible by design. To ensure that the data is available for users to leverage in personalization and decisioning, you must follow the data model schema for the specific API.
