The automated personalization dashboard

Current version: 10.0

The automated personalization dashboard is a tab in the Experience Optimization dashboard. The automated personalization dashboard allows you to monitor a number of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content personalized by Sitecore AI on your site.

Note

The Sitecore AI Extension for auto-personalization must be installed for you to see the auto-personalization tab in the Experience optimization dashboard.

The auto-personalization dashboard contains two types of graphs :

  • Graphs that show daily analyses. For example: Daily number of interactions and unique contacts, and Auto-personalized pages and components and their active variants.

  • Graphs that show weekly analyses. For example: Weekly bounce rate per auto-personalized pages.

    Note

The charts can display data for up to 90 days.

Daily interactions and unique contacts

The Daily interactions and unique contacts graph shows the count of interactions and unique contacts that occur on the website, per day.

In the Daily interactions and unique contacts graph:

  • The X-axis displays the date.

  • The Y-axis displays the count of interactions on the website, and unique contacts.

For example, the following graph shows that on Jan. 2, 2021, the number of interactions and unique contacts on the website was 8,153, and 4,286, respectively.

To toggle the chart's focus, click Interactions or Unique Contacts.

To change the time period for which the chart displays data, click the drop-down list, then click a time period.

To see data pertaining to a given date, on the X-axis, position your cursor over a date.

Daily average total engagement value on ML interactions

The Daily average total engagement value on ML Interactions graph shows the average total engagement value (EV) that was achieved by interactions that included at least one visit to a page with auto-personalized content (machined learned interactions).

In the Daily average total engagement value on ML Interactions graph:

  • The X-axis displays the date.

  • The Y-axis displays the average total EV.

For example, in the following graph, on Jan. 2, 2021, the average total EV that was achieved by ML interactions on the website is 120.5783.

To change the time period for which data is displayed, click the drop-down list, then click a time period.

To see data pertaining to a given date, on the X-axis, position your cursor over the date for which you want to see data.

Weekly average trailing engagement value per variation for selected component

This graphs shows the average trailing engagement value per variant of each component for a specific week.

In the Weekly average trailing engagement value per variation for selected component graph:

  • The X-axis displays the name of each variant of the component selected using the drop-down list.

  • The Y-axis displays the average trailing EV.

Note

When you enable auto-personalization on a component, it might take a day for the component to be listed in drop-down menu, or for the dashboard to display related data.

Sitecore AI Auto-personalization standard can train up to 20 components. Over this limit, Sitecore AI randomly selects a component variant to display. When there are more than 20 components with auto-personalization enabled, the drop-down list groups them under Trained components, and Random components.

For example, in the following graph, the PHI 76ers variant of the component Eastern Conference Division| Atlantic is listed as a trained component, and attained an average trailing EV of 13.8891, over the period of Feb. 14, 2021 to Feb. 20, 2021.

When you have multiple websites with auto-personalized components, the drop-down list further organizes the information per website, for example Trained components: <website 1>, Trained components: <website 2>, and so on.

For more information on how to display the trailing EV for a component and its variant for a give week, see Display the average trailing engagement value for a variant.

Weekly bounce rate per auto-personalized page

The Weekly bounce rate per auto-personalized page graph shows the bounce rate for pages with automated personalization.

The bounce rate is defined as the percentage of contacts who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. The formula that Sitecore AI uses to calculate the bounce rate (where PV stands for page view) is as follows:

bounce rate = number of interactions with a single PV (PV with auto-personalized page)/total number of interactions containing that auto-personalized page

In the Weekly bounce rate per auto-personalized page graph:

  • The X-axis displays the name of the page with auto-personalized content.

  • The Y-axis displays the bounce rate.

For example, the following graph shows that for the period of Jan. 10, 2021 to Jan. 16, 2021, the bounce rate for the design-your-connected-home page is 0.2868. In other words, during this period, 28.68% of interactions viewed this page only, and then left the site. The remaining 71.32% visited other pages on the site after visiting this auto-personalized page.

Note

If there are no interaction on a page with auto-personalized content, the bounce rate is zero.
