1. Publishing items in Horizon

Publish an item in Horizon

Version:

When you edit or create new pages, you must publish your changes before they appear on your website. In Pages, when you publish a page, it is the current language version of the page and all related items that are published using the Smart publish process. This means that the page and related items are only published if it has changed since the last publication.

In the following example, you can publish the Page item alone or with its three subpages.

The site tree containing a page with three subpages.
Note

When you publish with subitems from Pages, any subitems that are not pages (and accordingly, not shown in the tree) are published as well.

If an item has many subitems, it can take a while to publish all of them so we recommend that you only publish subitems if they are new or changed.

If an item is in a workflow, it must be in the final state of the workflow before you can publish it.

If you publish a subitem individually, you must also publish its parent item.
