Resolve Google Maps error in Experience Explorer
In the Experience Editor, the Explore mode Viewer panel can display a Google Map to show the visitor’s location. However, when the Google Maps API changes, the Viewer panel displays an error message instead of the Google Map.
To resolve a Google Maps error:

In a browser, open the following page:
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Follow the instructions on the page to get an API key.

In the Content Editor, on the /sitecore/system/Modules/Experience Explorer/Map Settings/Google item, enter the key in the Api Key field.

Clear the browser cache.

The map now displays correctly.
