Connecting Sitecore Personalize to an external system

You can set up a connection from Sitecore Personalize to an external system. For example, if your organization uses decisioning, you can create a connection to a data system or analytical model. The data system can be any external system that contains dynamic data, such as a data warehouse. The analytical model can be a propensity model, forecast model, outlier model, or other type. You must create a connection so that when a user drags the data system or analytical model onto the decision canvas, it's available for selection.

You can also set up a connection to a destination. For example, if your organization uses triggered experiments, you must set up a connection to the destination where you want to send the personalized data, such as Sitecore Send or an Email Service Provider (ESP).

Sitecore Personalize enables you to connect to any destination that has a RESTful Interface. You send the data using a JSON request.

Team members with a User, Developer, or Admin role in the Sitecore Cloud Portal can create a connection.
