The Customer Engagement Console

Sitecore Search provides configuration and developer tools in the Customer Engagement Console (CEC) that you may need during implementation. From accessing domain settings to designing how visitors experience your website, everything is configured in the CEC. Experiences are created by configuring pages, widgets, attributes, and features.

To familiarize yourself with different sections and tabs in the CEC, use the links in the following sections:

Developer resources

The following developer resources are available through the CEC:

API access - page that provides important information about accessing the APIs, including API keys, first-party URLs, SFTP credentials, and so on.
API explorer - tool for learning how to make runtime experience requests and how the responses to those requests are formatted. Also for learning how to interact with the search and recommendation API.
Event monitor - tool for verifying that you have implemented an experience correctly and that it is publishing events to Search from user interactions on your live website.

Features

You can view the configuration for searchable content and the entities returned in the search results in the following sections and tabs of the CEC:

Attributes - on this tab, you can see the attributes of the entities indexed in your implementation.
Feature configuration - on this tab, attributes are configured for various features like sorting, personalization and relevance.

Sources

View the configuration and setup of crawlers and other means of ingesting content to store as index documents in the Sources section of the CEC.
