Add localized values for feature options
Sitecore Search is a headless search platform, so the data it returns can be represented using your preferred format, structure, or component. During configuration, for your localization needs, you can provide values that can be included in all responses.
Search offers an easy way to include localized values for features like Sorting Options and Facets.
-
For a sorting option, you need to provide a value in the DISPLAY NAME input field. You can use this value to identify sorting option if using a drop-down menu.
-
For an attribute to be used as a facet, you need to provide a value in the LABEL input field. You can use this value as a label if rendering it as a check box.
To add localized facet values:
-
On the menu bar, click Administration > Domain Setting > Feature Configuration.
-
In the Feature Configuration tab, click Sorting Options or Facets and then, on the top menu bar, click
Localization. -
In the Localization dialog, in the top-right corner, to download existing values in a CSV, click
Export. -
Open the downloaded CSV and then populate the columns with values or edit values.
NoteThe CSV also contains columns for locale languages. These values are used when only the locale language is available.
-
To import the updated CSV file, in the top-right corner, click
Import. -
To replace values and close dialog, click Replace.
-
Click Save.
